Payments Terms & Conditions

This document outlines our returns policy, how to use the shopping basket, where to send queries, placing orders, delivery times, and information privacy.

Placing an Order
Go to the ISTD Ltd website (www.payments.istd.org.uk) – the online shopping catalogue and basket will open. You will also be able to access this page through ‘order’ buttons on the ISTD Ltd website and satellite or other sub-domain sites.
From the possible products (subscriptions, merchandise, posters, back issues, etc.), select the products that you would like to order by clicking on the image, or on the ‘add to basket’ button.
By clicking on a thumbnail image of an item, a large image opens, showing the product detail, price, and description.
You can increase the number of the same item by repeatedly clicking the ‘add to basket’ button, or by typing in the desired number of items in the space provided.
You can always see the current number of items as well as the total value of the basket on the screen.
By clicking on ‘view basket’ you can control your order and proceed through the secure Barclays payment system.
In the shopping basket you are able to ‘remove’ any items that you do not wish to pay for. The sub-total of the basket at this point excludes delivery charges and taxes – these are automatically calculated based on the country the order will be delivered to.
On a successful completed transaction you and ISTD Ltd each receive an email confirmation, containing the transaction and order details and where your order will be dispatched to, this will be the delivery address specified.
Payment & Security
You can pay for your goods online using a credit or debit card on our secure payment system operated by Barclays.
All transactions are shown in British Pounds Sterling – £.
All prices quoted on this website are accurate at the time of publication and exclusive of delivery charges.
ISTD Ltd is not a VAT registered company, therefore there is no additional charge for VAT.
If your order is being dispatched to a destination outside the European Community (EC) you may be subject to import duties and taxes that are levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information.

This is why all transactions on the ISTD Ltd site use industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to allow for the encryption of potentially sensitive information to and from our site. Payment is taken by the world-renowned Barclays online merchant system.
We have selected the Barclays payment system to ensure that you can order in a secure and reputable online environment. Your personal card details are handled solely by the Barclays servers and not stored after the transaction has been approved or declined by your Bank. You can verify when the secure mode is active by the security icon (a padlock or key icon) at the bottom right-hand-side corner of your browser or on the content window – depending on the type and version of internet browser you use.

Delivery
Delivery shall be made to the delivery address supplied by you at the time of ordering. While we endeavour to deliver within the times specified, any times quoted for delivery are approximate only and ISTD Ltd shall not be liable for any delay in the delivery of goods howsoever caused. Risk of damage to or loss of the goods shall pass to you at the time of delivery to the specified delivery address.

• Orders are dispatched by Standard UK Delivery (up to 14 working days)
Europe
• Orders are dispatched by Standard European Delivery (up to 14 working days)
Rest of the World
• Orders are dispatched by Standard Rest of World Delivery (up to 14 working days)
Availability
We endeavour to only display available stock on this website. If items that you order are out of stock or subject to a delay, we will try to contact you at the email address you provided when placing your order. If we cannot contact you or receive no response to our contact enquiries, we will continue to process the remaining items on your order. We will not supply a substitute product without your express authority. Once an item is sold out, it will be removed from the website catalogue at our earliest opportunity.
Returns
We offer refunds on any product ordered online if returned undamaged within 14 days of receipt. We would ask you to keep all packaging and return with the goods by recorded delivery. The delivery charge on the original order will not be refunded. Please enclose the dispatch note that accompanied your order together with the items within 14 days of receipt. It is your responsibility to ensure the goods are returned to us in a saleable condition. When sending your return, please obtain a Proof of Postage in case the parcel fails to reach us, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit. You can choose to have an exchange or a full refund. Please note that ISTD Ltd will not pay for the cost of return postage unless the goods are faulty or damaged.

We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.
Goods are subject to availability. Should we be unable to supply, we will contact you as soon as possible and ensure that no payment is taken for the goods (or any payment already taken is refunded in full).
All images on this site are for illustration purposes only. We endeavour to show a true representation of the product on sale, however on occasion product designs, colour schemes, or packaging can change. Please take note of product descriptions as well as images whilst choosing your products.
The Contract between us shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
